Part-Time Caregiver / Companion (CSIL Position) – Black Creek, BC
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a friendly individual living with Parkinson's dementia in the Black Creek area, Comox Valley.
This position is funded through the Choice in Supports for Independent Living (CSIL) program and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping someone remain active, engaged, and comfortable in their own home.
Responsibilities include:
● Providing companionship and conversation
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
● Assisting with meals
● Driving to appointments, social activities, and community outings
● Supporting independence while ensuring safety, dignity, and quality of life
Qualifications:
● Experience as a caregiver or support worker is preferred.
● Experience supporting individuals living with dementia is an asset.
● Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
● Patient, compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
● Criminal Record Check required.
● References required.
Position Details:
● Location: Black Creek, BC
● Position: Part-time (various day time and occasional evening shifts)
● Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
