Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with food handling and safety protocols are highly valued.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Process payments through cash handling and credit card transactions
- Serve food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Assist in food preparation and ensure food safety standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, and kitchen stations in accordance with sanitation regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support team members in various restaurant operations as needed
Skills
- Experience with food service, cashiering, and food handling in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Food preparation skills and restaurant experience are preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
