Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent guest service, managing transactions accurately, and supporting the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred but not required. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Process payments through cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of guest service
- Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Provide friendly guest services, answer questions about menu items, and address customer concerns professionally
- Support team members in maintaining restaurant operations during shifts
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or transactions efficiently
- Previous food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of food preparation and serving techniques
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest services and upselling opportunities
Pay: $15.26-$17.25 per hour
