Early Childhood Educator – Experienced and Behavior-Savvy
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our educational team. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral development.
The ideal candidate will have formal ECE training and hands-on experience working in early learning settings, with a strong understanding of child development and a proactive approach to managing and supporting challenging behaviors. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are a must, along with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards and responsive to children's individual needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging learning, self-regulation, and respectful behavior.
- Support children with behavioral challenges using developmentally appropriate strategies, including proactive guidance, emotional regulation tools, and consistent routines.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, and colleagues to build a collaborative learning community.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, documenting observations and sharing regular feedback with families.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to enhance the overall learning experience and ensure consistency in care and guidance.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe learning environment that promotes health, safety, and engagement.
- Adapt teaching strategies and environments to support children with disabilities or additional needs.
Qualifications
- ECE Certification and experience working in licensed early childhood education settings.
- Proven experience working with young children, including those with challenging behaviors or additional support needs.
- Strong behavior management skills and the ability to maintain a calm, patient, and consistent approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and Spanish is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of technology for planning, documentation, and classroom engagement.

Pay: $16.50-$20.00 per hour
