We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. We are a student ran painting business in the Muskoka area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed during painting operations
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as needed to support production workflows
- Use basic math skills for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in painting applications
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous for surface preparation or repairs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
