We are seeking a trustworthy, proactive, and business-minded leader to fill the vital role of Store Manager & Property Caretaker. KEY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Operations: Work in store managing day-to-day operations.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store clerks, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Inventory & Vendor Control: Oversee purchasing, manage product margins, handle vendor relations, and direct seasonal merchandising.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with BC liquor laws (LCRB regulations), food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Property Caretaking: Act as the primary on-site custodian, overseeing property security, general groundskeeping, and coordinating routine maintenance or repairs.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience in retail liquor or grocery.
- Certifications: Valid Serving It Right certification (or immediate willingness to obtain).
- Business Skills: Strong business acumen, financial accountability (cash management/ordering), and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy items (cases of beer/groceries) and handle physical outdoor caretaking duties across all seasons.
- Clearance: Must pass a standard criminal record check (required for BC liquor retail management).
