About the Role
We are seeking passionate Cooks to join our growing kitchen team at Nest. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and is excited to contribute to a menu that reflects Ontario’s seasons and bounty. You’ll support both our à la carte and event operations, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive, professional kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute food preparation and cooking to the highest standards, following recipes and specifications
- Contribute to daily prep for service and special events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Work with a strong sense of timing and efficiency during service periods
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and support seamless communication with front-of-house staff
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory in line with food safety practices
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environment
- Passion for high-quality, seasonal, and local food
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Able to take direction while also working independently
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the role (standing, lifting, moving equipment)
- Availability Tuesday through Sunday, evenings and weekends (event support required)
