Join our team as a Community Support Worker at our English Bluff staffed homein Tsawwassen. This permanent part-time role works Friday to Tuesday, at a salary range between $25.95 - $29.76 per hour, plus benefits, including Extended Health and Dental and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan per eligibility. This position requires union membership. Hours of Work: Friday (8:00am-4:00pm), Saturday (9:00am-3:00pm), Sunday to Tuesday (4:00pm-9:00pm).

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a part-time Community Support Worker, you will work 29 hours per week at our English Bluff staffed home. You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are a motivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports. This means you could be helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical fitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment. You assist with their physical, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Following an individual care plan,
- Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client’s interests,
- Documenting activities and observations in the client’s file and communication log,
- Physically assist individuals with activities such as swimming and walking.
- Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide personal care including toileting and grooming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate/diploma/degree in a field related to Human Sciences
- Practical experience working with developmental and physical disabilities
- Unrestricted Class 4 Driver’s License
- FOODSAFE Level 1
- Emergency First Aid & CPR
Pay: $25.95-$29.76 per hour
