THE SERVICES
Over the last 44 years, Acres has developed a team of highly trained and experienced professionals that provide project management and construction services in the following sectors:

Acres Enterprises structures its business into three core departments: General Contracting, Civil Contracting, and Industrial Contracting. This multidisciplinary structure allows for seamless cross utilization of resources through all service sectors. Clients find significant efficiencies in using one company with diverse in-house expertise through all development and construction phases of their projects.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
To assist and perform labouring activities related to the installation of heavy pipes used for storm drains, sewers, and water lines.
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Assist tradespersons in construction activities.
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and aid in other activities.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
- Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to perform daily tasks
- Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, and compacting space.
- Complete tasks similar in capabilities as assigned by supervisor.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Has obtained a Traffic Control Person card.
- Able to listen, communicate and take direction
- Able to work individually and as a team Flexible to work in diverse departments with different crews
- Detail orientated
- Committed to safety; reflected in practice and experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with values aligning to those of Acres
- While not required, these industry recognized certificates are considered an asset: First Aid with Transportation Endorsement, Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Telehandler Certification, Zoom Boom Training
