South Location
Lucky Supermarket, an Asian-Western grocery store, is looking for a Meat Cutter to join our department team. As a Meat Cutter, you play an important role in providing customers with high-quality meat products in a clean, safe, and service-focused environment. You will support daily store operations by cutting, trimming, and preparing meats to company standards, assisting customers with product selection, and maintaining a clean and organized work area while following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Familiarity with a wide variety of meat cuts, along with the ability to provide recommendations and ensure product quality, is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform meat cutting and trimming according to customer requests
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cutting equipment and work areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during all stages of meat preparation
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with product selection and recommendations
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth store operations
- Assist with restocking and inventory maintenance as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Meat Cutter, Butcher, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts and cutting techniques
- Understanding of food safety and handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs (23–34 kg)
- Physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
