We are currently looking for a Smokehouse Operator to join our Smokehouse Department, reporting directly to the Production Supervisors. If you enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, and being part of the process that creates high-quality food products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Smokehouse Operator, you’ll play a key role in the smoking, cooking, cooling, and fermentation process while ensuring products meet our high food safety and quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Loading and organizing products into smokehouses

Monitoring smoking, cooking, cooling, and fermentation processes
-
Ensuring HACCP and food safety standards are met at all times
-
Recording and documenting Critical Control Points (CCP’s)

Monitoring smokehouse equipment and smoke generators
-
Moving finished products into coolers
-
Processing meatloaf and formed hams for smoking
-
Using computer systems and ERP to track product movement
-
Operating mobile equipment to move materials safely and efficiently
-
Supporting a clean, safe, and team-focused work environment
-
Previous smokehouse or food manufacturing experience is an asset

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Comfortable working with computers and production systems

Ability to assess products against quality standards

Strong communication and teamwork skills
