Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Residential and Commercial Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services for homes, apartments, offices, retail spaces, and other commercial properties. Attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and applying primer
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and follow work orders or blueprints for color and finish requirements
- Safely set up scaffolding and ladders for access to high places
- Mask or cover surfaces to protect surrounding areas during painting
- Work directly with clients, property managers, or supervisors to meet project expectations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
- Follow health and safety guidelines and wear required PPE
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional painter (residential and/or commercial)
- Strong understanding of surface preparation and various painting techniques
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for mobile jobs)
- Good communication and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with drywall repair, caulking, and taping
- Familiarity with eco-friendly and low-VOC paint products
- Experience working on both new construction and renovation projects
- WHMIS or safety certification (an asset)
Work Environment:
- Residential homes (interior/exterior), apartment buildings, commercial offices, retail spaces
- Exposure to paints, fumes, dust, and varying weather conditions
- May require weekend or evening availability based on client needs
