Job purpose: Overall responsibility for the Quality performance of the DC Donut Bakery
The QC Technician works cross-functionally with the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, and QA Manager to successfully deliver on accountabilities and key objectives.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Compliance to Food Safety and Quality System Program
2. Support BRC’s Global Standard for Food Safety program and HACCP program
3. Training of new employees for GMP and Food Safety and Quality program
4. Ensuring food safety and quality of all products and maintaining plant efficiency (minimal waste)
5. Provide Formulations, FPS’s and records for the shift accordingly of production schedule
6. Recording waste per shift.
7. Sending shift report at the end of the shift
8. Ensuring that production employees are following all production SOPs (recipes)
9. Perform all temperature checks of fryers, dough weights, and filling weights according to the Product formulations and Finished Product Specifications.
10. Perform a viscosity check of the glaze and coatings.
11. Perform a weight check on designated steps.
12. Support guidance to ensure the product meets quality and product safety specifications.
13. Monitoring employee behavior for GMPs and employee safety.
14. Monitoring for Critical Control Point – metal detector.
15. Oversee sanitation activities and prevent cross-contamination.
16. Observed, signed, and filed production records
17. Monitor quality performance and establish plans to improve.
18. Perform Daily Operational Inspection
Pay: $17.80-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Quality Control: 1 year (preferred)
- Bakery Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
