Yo-Yo Cookies® is looking for a Retail Team Lead to support our retail operations across multiple Charlottetown locations.
This is a hands-on role where the majority of your time will be spent working retail shifts, serving customers, and operating our stores independently. In addition to your retail responsibilities, you'll help coordinate staffing, manage schedules, monitor inventory levels, and ensure our locations operate smoothly according to company standards.
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with staff, and confident taking initiative when challenges arise.
What You'll Do
- Work regular retail shifts and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate stores independently and maintain company standards
- Create and manage employee schedules
- Fill open shifts and respond to staffing challenges as they arise
- Support and communicate with team members across locations
- Track inventory levels and request stock replenishment as needed
- Monitor store presentation, cleanliness, and product quality
- Identify operational issues and help implement solutions
- Communicate regularly with ownership regarding staffing, inventory, and store needs
- Assist with training and onboarding team members
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience, preferably in a boutique environment
- Experience scheduling staff, coordinating operations, or leading a team preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable solving problems and making decisions when needed
- Reliable, dependable, and accountable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
