Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency in project management software. This role involves managing teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering successful projects that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as Smartsheet, Bluebeam, MS Office, and other industry tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Prepare detailed construction estimates and budgets using construction estimating techniques.
- Manage project timelines effectively through time management strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee daily operations on-site, including supervising construction activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor project progress against plans and budgets; adjust schedules as necessary to meet project goals.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
- Facilitate communication among all stakeholders to keep everyone informed of project status and changes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation of Construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and experience with submitting proposals and competetive tenders
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams on complex projects.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Post secondary education in Civil Engineering or Architecture considered a major asset.
- Bilingual French and English considered a major asset
Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
