POSITION SUMMARY:
Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the Sundial Boutique Hotel and Carleton Lodge. This role focuses primarily on cleaning and servicing guest rooms, ensuring all accommodations are prepared to the highest quality standards and exceed guest expectations.
The Room Attendant plays an important role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing clean, comfortable, and welcoming accommodations while supporting the overall housekeeping operations of the hotel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guest Satisfaction

Provides warm and courteous interactions with guests and owners whenever encountered throughout the property.

Responds professionally and promptly to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns.

Ensures guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards to promote guest satisfaction and comfort.

Reports guest concerns or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager promptly to ensure timely resolution.
OPERATIONS:
Efficiency

Cleans and services assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to hotel standards and productivity expectations.

Makes beds, changes linens, replenishes towels, amenities, and guest supplies.

Dusts, vacuums, sweeps, mops, and sanitizes all guest room surfaces and fixtures.

Ensures housekeeping carts and linen closets are fully stocked, organized, and clean.

Handles and transports linens and laundry as required.

Reports missing items, damages, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate department.

Follows daily housekeeping checklists and completes assigned tasks within scheduled timelines.
Safety

Uses cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to company procedures.

Follows all health and safety guidelines and reports hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.

Always maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Quality Assurance

Maintains high cleanliness and presentation standards in all guest rooms and housekeeping areas.

Inspects rooms prior to guest arrival to ensure hotel standards are met.

Follows housekeeping procedures, policies, and standards.

Assists with deep cleaning and seasonal projects as required.

Supports other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a Room Attendant or House Person preferred.

Experience in an upscale hotel is an asset.

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
