Santé Dental is looking for a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, patient-focused team! One of our long-term hygienists is relocating, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about dental hygiene and dedicated to building meaningful relationships with patients. Our practice places a strong emphasis on providing exceptional patient care while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
We are committed to supporting our hygienists with appropriate scheduling, strong teamwork, and clinical support, including assistance from a float assistant and open communication with the dentists. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including root planning and scaling with local anesthesia
- Take dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to individual needs
- Assist in diagnosing periodontal issues and recommend appropriate treatments
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental management software
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and infection control protocols
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus to serve a diverse patient population but not a requirement
Skills
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in accordance with NS regulations
- A compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with infection control standards and safety procedures in a dental environment
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
