Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing routine maintenance, tire services, and basic repairs to ensure customer vehicles are safe and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
Duties
- Perform tire rotations, replacements, balancing, and repairs with precision and care
- Conduct oil changes, fluid top-offs, and other routine vehicle maintenance tasks
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance work effectively
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and communicate findings to customers or supervisors
- Assist with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and minor repairs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Promote additional services such as maintenance or sales opportunities to customers when appropriate
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Dealership experience or previous mechanic work is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair techniques
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, tire services, and routine maintenance tasks is advantageous
- Prior experience in sales or upselling additional services is a plus but not mandatory
