Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Vintage Store Associate to join our retail team. This role involves working in a curated vintage fashion environment where customer service, styling support, and product knowledge are key. In addition to in-store duties, the role includes participation in pop-up shop events, where the associate will assist with setup, sales, and breakdown operations.
The ideal candidate is passionate about vintage fashion, enjoys working in a fast-paced retail setting, and is comfortable working both in-store and at off-site events.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for cashiering and processing transactions accurately
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support when needed
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
- Handle cash, process payments, and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as necessary
- Provide information about products in multiple languages (multilingual/bilingual preferred)
- Assist customers with product inquiries via phone or in person using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the shift
Inventory Support
- Assist in receiving, sorting, and tagging new merchandise
- Help with inventory counts and stock audits
- Identify low stock items and report to management
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately and efficiently
- Organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customers
- Knowledge of technology products or ability to conduct product demos is advantageous
- Demonstrated sales skills with a focus on upselling and customer engagement
- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
