Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Construction Helper to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople in various construction projects, supporting the completion of building tasks efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction work, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills across multiple trades. Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment under supervision to perform tasks such as framing, concrete forming, masonry, and carpentry.
- Support installation of cabinets, flooring, tile laying, and electrical components as needed.
- Aid in concrete finishing, restoration work, plumbing, welding, and construction painting projects.
- Help with the operation of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction-related tasks is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus.
- Skills in carpentry, caulking, concrete finishing, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, or restoration are advantageous.
- Experience operating power tools and heavy equipment is beneficial.
- A strong interest in learning multiple trades within the construction industry is essential for success in this role. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in various aspects of construction while contributing to meaningful projects in a collaborative environment.
