Job Overview
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, enthusiastic, and dedicated coach who has access to a vehicle and is able to travel between program locations to join our team for an exciting summer camp season filled with adventure, fun, and learning. As a coach, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, energetic, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development.
Duties
- Supervise and actively engage with campers during a variety of activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Plan and lead recreational and educational programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and skill development.
- Support campers in developing social skills, resolving conflicts, and building friendships.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming camp environment.
- Travel between locations as needed to support program operations.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a positive camp experience.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in camp, recreational, or educational settings is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education, sports coaching, or tutoring is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to drive between locations is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- A passion for engaging, motivating, and inspiring young campers.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
