Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality sandwiches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent time management skills, and experience in food service environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure all food items meet safety and sanitation standards during preparation and serving
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide excellent customer service at the point of sale
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for cashiering and order management
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance sales opportunities
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required
