About the Opportunity
The Batchmaker is responsible for ensuring accuracy in mixing large batches of paint. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. You will be self-motivated and trustworthy.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units
· Measure, weigh and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards
· Start up, shut down and troubleshoot equipment
· Take samples and ensure excellent quality control
· Adjust processing machines and equipment
· Record production information
· Clean and maintain workspace, tools
Qualifications
· Experience in making oil-based paints, emulsion paints, or water-based paints is an asset
· Forklift license (Preferred)
· Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and efficient time management skills
· Great attention to detail, high accountability
· Team player with independent judgement and effective interpersonal skills
· Comfortable working with a combination of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Additional pay:
· Discretionary bonus pay
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
