Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Inforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other unlawful activities
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
- Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional presence
- Conduct inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to write clear incident reports
- Must be physically fit to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods
- Ability to pass background checks and any required training certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications are a plus
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
