Job Description
Grace Care Communities is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Cleaner (Night Shift) to join our team at Grace Haven Residence, an 80-bed Special Care Home in Moncton, New Brunswick.
This full-time position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors during overnight hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing public areas, supporting infection prevention practices, and helping ensure the residence remains clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Our Support Services team plays an essential role in supporting quality resident care by maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for everyone who lives, works, and visits Grace Haven Residence.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities in public areas, including sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, and other housekeeping duties.
- Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned, cared for, and inspected according to established cleaning checklists.
- Keep cleaning carts clean, organized, and fully stocked after use.
- Remove garbage from public areas.
- Ensure all equipment and cleaning items are in good working condition and submit maintenance request forms when repairs are required.
- Participate in the evacuation of residents in accordance with the Fire Emergency Plan.
- Comply with all security, safety, and infection prevention procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Night Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- WHMIS Certification.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Successful completion of Social Development and Vulnerable Sector checks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
