Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Renovation Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial renovation projects, with expertise in various carpentry and construction techniques. This role involves transforming spaces through precise craftsmanship, working on diverse projects that require attention to detail, safety, and quality. The Renovation Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, other trades, and clients to deliver exceptional results that meet specifications and deadlines.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Install cabinets, flooring, tile, siding, roofing, and other finishing elements with precision.
- Execute restoration work to refurbish or repair existing structures while maintaining original design integrity.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct construction painting, caulking, and sealing to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist with plumbing and electrical tasks when required, adhering to safety standards.
- Estimate materials and labor needs for projects to support construction planning.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols throughout all phases of construction.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in cabinet installation, flooring installation (including tile laying), siding, roofing, and general carpentry.
- Ability to perform construction painting, caulking, plumbing, electrical work, and handyman tasks as needed.
- Excellent understanding of construction safety standards; capable of heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques and assembly processes for custom projects.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients effectively.
