Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in seating arrangements to ensure a comfortable dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and communication with the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change with precision using cashiering skills and basic math proficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and food handling practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring guest orders are accurate and timely
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards in the restaurant industry
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry operations
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for billing and cash handling purposes
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting with guests
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and restaurant revenue
