Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff management.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during service to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a focus on quality presentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
