MISSION
The Hybrid Sales Representative – Hearth plays a key role in the growth of our fireplace division in Ottawa by combining inside sales, business development, and customer service. This dynamic role involves splitting time between supporting customers at the branch and conducting field visits to develop new business opportunities and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.
The successful candidate advises customers, prepares quotations, follows up on orders, and actively contributes to achieving sales objectives. We are looking for a proactive, service-oriented individual who is motivated by sales growth in a collaborative and stimulating environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Responding to customer inquiries at the branch (phone, email, and counter service) and providing requested information (3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) under the supervision of the Branch Manager.
· Visiting customers and new prospects to present products from our Hearth division (2 days per week: Tuesday and Thursday) under the supervision of the Fireplace Sales Manager.
· Advising customers based on their needs and product specifications.
· Developing new business opportunities through prospecting calls and client visits while maintaining existing customer relationships.
· Preparing quotations, invoices, and following up on orders.
· Managing operational follow-ups including deliveries, returns, warranties, and after-sales issues.
· Managing inventory in Ottawa in collaboration with the Sales Manager and Purchasing Manager.
· Providing basic technical support and customer training.
· Updating customer files and using computer tools such as Outlook, SX, and Odotrack.
· Achieving established sales targets.
· Participating in events and training sessions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge of fireplaces, HVAC products, or the industry
· Experience in outside sales and customer service within a technical environment
· Strong ability to identify new opportunities, negotiate effectively, positively influence others, and close sales
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
· High level of integrity and professionalism
· Good knowledge of computer tools and systems
· Bilingualism in French and English to communicate with our English-speaking (60%) and French-speaking (40%) customers

· The expected total annual compensation for this position ranges from $69,700 to $80,000, including base salary and applicable sales commissions based on performance.
