Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food safety and cleanliness, with some experience or interest in the food industry. Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
- Help with food prep activities such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning supplies when needed
- Ensure proper storage of food items following safety guidelines
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are upheld
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to maintain a tidy workspace
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic cooking, food preparation, and food safety practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others in the kitchen
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary
