Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff to prepare meals efficiently and accurately.
Maintain high standards of food handling and safety, adhering to health regulations and cleanliness protocols at all times.
Serve dishes promptly and courteously to customers or dining areas, ensuring excellent food service experience.
Help with cleaning duties including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and organizing kitchen tools and supplies.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when restocking is needed.
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues during busy service periods.
Requirements
Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
Basic knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving kitchen equipment.
Strong attention to detail in meal preparation and cleanliness practices.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve customers efficiently.
Familiarity with cooking techniques or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
