RHEA Canada is looking for Regional Electronic Technical Specialist near Stony Mountain, MB or Saskatoon, SK to support work on client premises. The role requires daily on-site work at a single location, and provides regular Monday-Friday hours (with rotating on-call requirements). The routine workday follows normal business hours.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Implementing technical security systems involving multiple technologies such as (but not limited to: digital video surveillance, electronic access control, security intercom systems, alarm systems, etc.
- Reviewing a broad scope of technical deliverables.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and/or blueprints (and suggesting improvements, as appropriate).
- Leading small teams on assignment and/or participating as a lead in project assignments.
- Regular use of hand tools and safety equipment.
- Reporting project updates and/or other information, as required.
- Developing educational material, technical drawings, and technical manuals
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Minimum of Eight years’ experience providing maintenance on security systems and sub-systems.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in managing or supervising small teams (within the past five years).
- Must have graduated with a diploma or degree in a related field, or have commensurate work experience.
- CompTIA A+ or Network A+ certification
- Must qualify for a Government of Canada security clearance at the reliability level.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Any additional experience in similar or physical security..
- ASIS membership and/or any of the following credentials:
- CPP or PSP
