Ebbeling Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy located in Winnipeg’s East Kildonan neighbourhood and has proudly served the community for over 60 years. We are seeking a friendly, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 2-3 days per week).
This position is ideal for a pharmacist looking for flexible supplemental hours in a supportive independent community pharmacy environment. Additional shifts and vacation coverage may be available for applicants seeking more hours. Position Summary
The Staff Pharmacist will work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to provide high-quality patient care and ensure safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Counsel patients on prescription medications and provide OTC recommendations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong patient relationships
- Collaborate with pharmacy assistants and technicians to support efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and standards of practice
- Support medication management and patient health initiatives
- Administer injections (if certified)
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-focused pharmacy environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice pharmacy in Manitoba and in good standing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Community pharmacy experience preferred
- Injection authorization considered an asset
- Experience with pharmacy software systems an asset
Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 2-3 shifts per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Additional shifts and vacation coverage available if desired
- Some evening and occasional weekend availability preferred
- No Sundays or statutory holidays
