AST Inc. is looking for an experienced, licensed 310S Senior Automotive Technician to add to our team! AST Inc. is seeking a certified Senior Automotive Technician/Mechanic at the automotive level that would be responsible for diagnosing and repairing and maintaining a wide variety of complex mechanical problems as well as highly specialized and technical areas, while serving as a lead hand to other Automotive Mechanics.
Qualifications:
● Must have a valid Automotive 310S Service Technician Trade Certification License, with Senior Technician experience (8+ years preferred). European vehicle experience is an asset.
● Must have a valid Ontario class G driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract
● Must have a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate
● Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● Must speak, read, and write English fluently
● Must be physically capable of performing job duties including safely lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
● Good time management skills with attention to detail
● Works well under pressure and simultaneous deadlines for work to be completed within scheduled industry standard guidelines
● Proficient with computer systems and programs; knowledge of using Mitchell on Demand is an asset
● Dependable strong work ethic with a high level of motivation, energy, and strong customer service skills are required
● Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team
● Must have own tools with own toolbox
● Willing to work overtime when required
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Performing quality vehicle maintenance and repairs with efficiency and quality workmanship to ensure safety and customer satisfaction
● Strong diagnosis skills to source any complex mechanical and electrical repairs
● Assists in training and supervising apprentice technicians
● Ability to interpret basic/complex drawings/diagrams
● Provides vehicle details and maintains records of maintenance performed including parts and supplies used
● Able to clear communicate service, repair, and technical issues, and future repair requirements
● Performing road tests using safe driving standards
● Continuously wants to learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive industry
● Maintains an organized, neat and safe work area
● Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Fridays 8am-5pm; some overtime when required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
