Pay Range: $36.00 – $45.00/hour (based on experience, certifications, and leadership responsibilities)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. On-call and after-hours availability may be required for emergency service work.

Primary Job Function
The Gas B Journeyperson is responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of gas-fired appliances and systems in accordance with BC Safety Authority regulations. This includes residential and light commercial applications such as furnaces, boilers, hot water tanks, unit heaters, and rooftop systems.
You will be expected to manage your own schedule using ServiceTitan, complete accurate job documentation, ensure safety compliance, and represent Reid Brothers with professionalism and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair gas-fired appliances (up to 400,000 BTU)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, including gas flow, pressure, and burner issues
- Complete combustion analysis and safety inspections
- Interpret technical drawings, codes, and equipment specs
- Quote repairs and system replacements using the ServiceTitan pricebook
- Document all work performed with photos and notes in ServiceTitan
- Conduct customer walk-throughs and educate on system operation
- Mentor apprentices and participate in ongoing skills training
- Ensure compliance with Technical Safety BC standards and internal procedures
Required Qualifications & Attributes
- Current Gas B Certification (Technical Safety BC)
- Minimum 3 years of gas service experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnostics and burner controls
- Comfortable using ServiceTitan or other dispatch/work order software
- Strong understanding of combustion theory and system safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to mentor apprentices and work collaboratively with the team
- Physically fit and comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, and on rooftops

- Mentorship of assigned apprentices (performance tracking + feedback)
