Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The Optometrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and eye health using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or treatments based on patient evaluations.
- Manage and document patient records accurately within electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Provide patient education on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with optical staff to assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear and accessories.
- Offer specialized care for pediatric and senior patients, addressing unique needs and concerns.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry practices, medical terminology, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification.
- Prior optical experience is preferred; experience with pediatrics and senior care is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records systems such as Epic.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Experience
- Prior optical experience is highly desirable, with a strong foundation in patient care and ophthalmic procedures
- Experience working with pediatric patients and senior populations is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye care is essential
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Pay: Up to $210,000.00 per year
