Maple Bay Marina – Fuel Dock Attendant
Maple Bay Marina is seeking the right person to join our fuel dock crew. We are a diversified and dynamic multi-faceted business that is locally owned and operated on the waterfront in the spectacular Cowichan Valley. The position is open to applicants who reside in the Cowichan Valley area only.
As a fuel dock crew member, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labour tasks, as well as provide front line customer service duties with the fuel dock and visitor moorage. These duties support the operations of our company. Must be able to work in all weather conditions, and have cash handling experience. Experience in boating and VHF radio operation are assets. The role involves continuous standing, walking, or moving for most of the workday (often 6-8+ hours) and includes weekend hours!

Responsibilities
- Operate marina fuel dispensing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate with customers via VHF radio.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with fueling needs and answering inquiries.
- Maintain accurate sales records of fuel transactions and inventory levels.
- Perform various manual labour tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and public washroom facilities.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in fuel sales, boating, grounds keeping roles are preferred.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
