At Revolution Communication Solutions our primary focus is the delivery of both wired and wireless telecommunication systems and the associated design, procurement, supply and installation, maintenance and consulting services. The services we provide are directed towards commercial, industrial, governmental, enterprise and institutional clients, with our area of focus being Northern Alberta.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and preventative maintenance of the following telecommunication products:
- 2-way Radio Equipment
- Wireless Links and Access Points
- GPS/AVL Equipment
- Bi-Directional Amplifiers/DAS Equipment
- Satellite Equipment
- LAN/WAN Infrastructure & Cabling
- DC Power Systems
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and preventative maintenance of the following security systems:
- Access Control
- CCTV
- Computer Networking
- Detect, diagnose and correct issues affecting the services of our customers in a safe and controlled manner.
- Perform site surveys based on customer requests.
- Operate and understand test equipment related to the maintenance and installation of 2-way coaxial, fiber and structured cable systems.
- Ensure compliance with the project-specific drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Provide a high level of customer service ensuring that any escalations or concerns are completed as requested and addressed in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate system records and support documentation.
- Ensure vehicle, test equipment and tools are maintained in excellent condition.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Strong understanding of wireless communication and security technologies, vendors and the industry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and network principles
- Mechanically inclined
- Detailed understanding of communications construction processes.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs.
- Promote a positive image of Revolution Communication Solutions’ products and services while providing exceptional customer service.
- Computer literate and proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Previous experience working in the field.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize and organize workloads, functions and tasks, manage time efficiently.
- A positive attitude and a customer focused approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certification
- High School Diploma.
- Diploma or Certificate in Telecommunications/Electronic/Wireless or equivalent.
- A suitable amount of experience will be considered.
Experience and Training
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s License (with clean driver abstract, 3-year history required)
- All the industry related safety training and orientations will be provided. Any existing tickets/certifications will be viewed as beneficial.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder; carry, lift and handle heavy equipment.
- Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing.
