Job Description
NextSpan is looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Floor Handy Person to join our team. The ideal candidate should have basic experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment and be comfortable operating common tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with factory floor operations and daily production tasks.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Assist with assembly, fabrication, and material handling.
- Load, unload, and organize materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other general labour and maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measure, level, etc.).
- Forklift experience is an asset (not required).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with metal fabrication or construction.
- Experience using drills, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour
