Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Field Surveyor to join our team. This role involves conducting precise land and construction surveys, collecting data, and supporting project teams with accurate spatial information. The ideal candidate will have experience with surveying tools and GIS software, along with a strong understanding of construction processes and data management. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing cutting-edge technology to deliver reliable survey data that informs critical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment to gather accurate spatial data.
- Collect, record, and verify survey data in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, and maps for project documentation.
- Utilize AutoCAD, CAD, ArcGIS, and GIS software to process survey data and create detailed maps and plans.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of databases for storing survey information and project records.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements.
- Support construction activities by providing precise location information for site layout and boundary marking.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during field operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in land or construction surveying; familiarity with construction projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, ArcGIS, GIS software, and data management systems.
- Strong knowledge of surveying equipment such as GPS units and total stations.
- Experience with data collection techniques and managing large datasets within databases.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and CAD files accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure high-quality survey results.
- Construction experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tools or software as needed.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for fieldwork mobility purposes.
