Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Leaders to join our team and help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during the summer months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children of various ages, fostering their development through educational and recreational activities. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and a background in childhood education or related fields. As a Summer Camp Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring campers have a memorable and enriching summer experience.
Duties
- Lead and supervise group activities, games, and educational sessions tailored to different age groups
- Support campers in their daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions between activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants
- Assist with planning and organizing camp activities that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork
- Provide tutoring or instructional support in areas such as reading, writing, or other academic subjects as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and camp policies at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and campers to ensure a smooth camp operation
- Encourage campers’ social skills development and promote respectful behavior
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred
- Background in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children in fun and meaningful activities
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with kids of various ages
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Prior experience leading group activities or supervising children is a plus
- Must be responsible, reliable, and committed to creating a positive camp experience for all participants
Pay: $19.50-$23.75 per hour
