Agrai-Dairy Mart, Ltd. is a fast-growing milking and dairy barn equipment dealer with three locations covering all of Alberta. We specialize in full sales, installation and servicing of the following product lines: DeLaval, Nuhn, inBarn, JOZ, and Sun-North Systems.
We are currently looking to hire a permanent, full-time Route Sales Account Manager to work out of our shop located in Nisku, AB. This is a sales position responsible for providing exceptional delivery service to all our customers within the sales route area.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
- Route Delivery & Logistics: Schedule and plan the route for travel and time efficiency. Safely load, transport, and unload heavy chemical barrels (often up to 23 kg/50 lbs or more).
- Licensing: Requires a clean driver's abstract and a valid commercial driver's license (Class 1, 3, or a Class 5 with air brake)
- Technical Customer Support: Assist dairy farmers with cleaning and sanitation issues in their milking systems. Monitor chemical usage, perform basic water/chemical titration tests, and recommend adjustments.
- Sales & Route Growth: Identify opportunities to sell additional dairy hygiene and cow health products to existing route customers and develop new accounts.
- Inventory & Documentation: Handle invoices, complete daily logbooks, and assist with chemical repackaging/inventory rotation in the warehouse.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Class 5 License. Air endorsement required.
- Ability to obtain the TDG certification when hired.
- Ability to obtain WHMIS certification when hired.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Proven work experience as a sales rep.
- Proven safe driving habits.
- Forklift experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Self-Motivated to organize and plan routes, and maintain a reliable schedule for customer deliveries.
- Dairy industry experience would be a strong asset.
