Job Description
CENTURY 21 Prudential Estates (RMD) Ltd. is looking to add a Jr. Strata Property Manager to our team. Flexible office hours, however you must be willing to work evenings to attend Strata meetings. This position is paid on commission only. The individual will begin with a mentorship with a Sr. Strata Manager or Department Manager managing a portfolio of buildings in Richmond and surrounding areas. The company will also provide full support staff to assist with the management of the strata portfolio, including a shared administrative assistant, accounting support (Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable), upper management, and emergency service managers to assist with after hour emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Effective communication with Strata clients (Strata Councils and Owners) and office staff;
- Attend and conduct external Strata Council meetings and Annual General Meetings;
- Accurately prepare meeting minutes;
- Obtain quotes and coordinate property repairs and maintenance items;
- Process and correctly code Strata invoices;
- Draft annual operating budgets for Strata Corporations;
- Assist with administration and management of Strata Corporation (ie: letters and notices to owners);
- Provide advice and be familiar with the requirements of the Strata Property Act;
- Review financial statements of Strata Corporations;
- Attend internal office Strata Manager meetings;
Qualifications
- Must have your Strata Property Management licence or be near completion of the course;
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Second language is an asset;
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment;
- Must be able to provide great customer service;
- Must be efficient with working on a computer (webmail/email, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF);
- Must have excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritize tasks;
- Knowledge and/or experience in the real estate and/or property management industry is an asset;
- Knowledge and/or experience with building systems and/or construction is an asset;
- Knowledge and/or experience with accounting and/or finance is an asset;
- Strong organizational and communication skills are an asset;
