Job Summary
Seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sushi preparation and possess excellent knife skills.
Role involves preparing high-quality sushi dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The Sushi Chef will also contribute to creating an inviting dining experience for our guests and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for authentic and innovative sushi offerings.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station before, during, and after service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Uphold health and safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation
- Skilled in knife handling, fish filleting, and ingredient preparation
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
