Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding client needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell additional services or retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments
- Educate clients on hair care routines and recommend suitable products for home use
- Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and positive reviews
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in hair styling, with a strong portfolio of work preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell products and services confidently while maintaining professionalism
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience with retail sales is advantageous but not required
- Prior front desk or receptionist experience is a plus but not mandatory
- A valid cosmetology license or relevant certification as required by state regulations
