Sanitation Worker - Scarborough
The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Sanitation Worker on behalf of one of our employer partners.
· Location: Scarborough (St. Clair and Warden)
· Shifts Available: Afternoon / Night Shifts
· Job Type: Casual / On Call (priority will be given to those with flexible availability)
· Pay Rate: $18.26/hr + 4% vacation pay = $19/hr
· Start date: As soon as possible
Our employer partner, a leading bakery company specializing in thawing and selling baking technology, is seeking Sanitation Workers to start as soon as possible in Scarborough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash cleaning of machines, machine parts, utensils, etc. on production lines or inside the Wash-up Room area.
- Brush cleaning of walls, floor drains, and cleaning inside/ outside of building facilities.
- Sweeping floors, mop cleaning of floors, and at times cleaning of overhead structures, such as, pipes, beams, ceilings, etc., which will require him to go up the ladder.
- At times sweeping/cleaning inside cold rooms and storage freezers
- Collecting garbage from time to time and properly dumping to designated garbage compactors which will require him to bend and lift up around 15-20 kgs.
Required Qualifications:
- Physically fit and able to lift 15-20 kg.
- Comfortable working with allergens, including peanuts and other nuts.
- Flexible with shift schedules.
- Basic English communication skills.
