Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting, engaging with customers and contributing to a positive experience at our establishment. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves handling food and cash transactions while ensuring safety and food handling standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation and serving light food items as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Follow all food safety procedures, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
- Restock supplies and ensure the beverage station is organized and well-stocked throughout shifts.
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or Food service experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering tasks.
- Strong Customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Excellent Time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, change calculation, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of Food safety standards and proper Food handling procedures.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
