Service Advisor (Sales Representative/ Bike Mechanic)

About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. This unique role combines the responsibilities of a Sales Representative and an E-Bike Mechanic, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy both customer interaction and hands-on mechanical work.
The successful candidate will primarily report to our Mississauga location and will occasionally travel to our Downtown Toronto office to provide customer support, sales assistance, and bike servicing as required.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable bicycles, E-Bikes, accessories, and service packages.
- Explain product features, specifications, warranties, financing options, and maintenance plans.
- Prepare quotes, process sales transactions, and follow up on customer inquiries.
- Promote new products, accessories, and seasonal promotions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Coordinate service appointments and communicate repair timelines with customers.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
E-Bike Mechanic Responsibilities
- Assemble new bicycles and E-Bikes according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure bikes are ready for customers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues on E-Bikes.
- Perform routine maintenance including brake adjustments, drivetrain servicing, gear tuning, tire replacement, and safety inspections.
- Install and replace bicycle components and accessories.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot batteries, motors, displays, controllers, and charging systems.
- Conduct quality checks and test rides after repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
General Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management and merchandise organization.
- Support both the sales floor and service department as business needs require.
- Travel to the Downtown Toronto location when scheduled to assist with customer service and bicycle servicing.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales, service, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Follow all company policies and workplace health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in retail sales/customer service.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Bike or E-Bike Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of bicycles, E-Bikes, accessories, and cycling products.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair bicycles and E-Bikes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and sales abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail and service environment.
- Valid G Class Driver's Licence.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle, as occasional travel to the Downtown Toronto location is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Bosch, Shimano STEPS, Bafang, Yamaha, or similar E-Bike systems.
- Previous experience in a bicycle retail store or service centre.
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
