Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and appealing at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries politely via in-person or phone interactions, adhering to proper phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and conducting stock counts using retail math skills
- Support sales goals through proactive upselling techniques while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts
- Skilled in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining an organized sales floor that invites customer engagement
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail sales environments enhances your effectiveness in this role
