Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for cooking, cool products, communication, customer service and ideally some retail sales, and the ability to engage customers effectively. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales expertise, demonstrate product knowledge through demos, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our diverse clientele. Bilingual abilities and experience with merchandising or POS systems are considered valuable assets.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering detailed product demos when applicable
- Conduct sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments with professionalism
- Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Provide information about product features, benefits, and technical specifications to educate customers
- Manage phone inquiries courteously, providing assistance or directing calls as needed
- Support store operations by adhering to cash handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness of the sales floor
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills by managing time effectively during busy periods
Qualifications
- Ideally some Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in technology or related fields
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities (English, French plus additional languages) are highly desirable

- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and upsell products tactfully
- Good organizational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
